FOR LOVE AND MONEY
Bothell Man Plans to Give Winnings to Wife
OLYMPIA — Peter S. Seo, a 52-year-old Bothell business owner, began his day like any other day, maintaining his normal routine. After a long day at his dry cleaning business, he stopped by 7-Eleven to grab a few things before heading home.
“I saw the Mega Millions jackpot was climbing so I reached in my wallet to buy a ticket,” Seo said. “But I accidentally pulled out a Hit 5 ticket I purchased the week before instead.”
Seo passed his ticket over to the clerk to check his numbers and couldn’t believe what he saw on the screen.
“It kept flashing ‘Winner, please go to the Lottery office!’” Seo said. “The clerk told me I won the Hit 5 $160,000 cashpot, it was just so hard to fathom. I probably stood still for a full five minutes!”
As reality began to sink in, Seo headed home to share the good news with his wife.
“When I got home I told my wife we won and that I still couldn’t believe it,” Seo laughed. “Unfortunately, she didn’t believe it either!”
Neither of them really believed it until they claimed their winnings at the Lottery office in Everett. Seo already had ideas for what to do with the money just in case.
“I want to buy new machines for my business and take a vacation somewhere far away,” Seo said. “Most of the money I want to give to my wife. I know she’ll donate it to some wonderful charity that really deserves it and after all, what’s money without love?”
Seo purchased his Hit 5 ticket from the 7-Eleven located at 1114 State Avenue in Marysville and won the February 16 drawing by matching the numbers 02-23-26-28-33.
